This post has a link to a zip file containing documentation for all consolecommands, commands, conditions and events. Not all console commands work from the Rome Shell - I'd say most don't. Most do work from scripts. This thread attempts to determine which of these do and do not work. Download the best Dice app here:Android: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1383269. Hello everyobdoy at TotalWar.org! This will be my first time posting though I visited this site a couple of times. I'm looking for some ghelp by the Rome Shell Console Commands experts/gurus/specialists please. Thank you in adavance for all your detailed responses
Question#1: I know how to use the create_unit command to spawn military units in an army or a settlement which refers to units contained in the Descr_Export_units.txt file. Question is what is the command to use to spawn a Family Member in a settlement, in an army, or a particular location on the map? Please provide the syntax and an example of the console command.
Question#2: If the Rome Shell Console doesn't allow a command to spawn a Family Member or a suitable unit I can place into a settlement making him the Governor then can you tell me if there is another way to cause the game to create more family members while playing? Via a search in the forums I found the following:
[START]You are correct that this is the game's default
maximum number of children, however, it is
moddable. Edit the file descr_campaign_db.xml
and at about line 75 you should see the key/value
pair
You can change this to a larger value to have more
children. [END]
The problem with this is I cannot find any file named 'descr_campaign_db.xml' anywhere in the RTW Directory or sub-directories.
Question#3: Can someone tell me if there is a detailed guide or post that covers the various Rome Shell Console Commands (including the syntax examples) that ALSO tells you under what version of RTW they work. For example I am running version 1.3 and the following console commands DONOT WORK for me: capture_settlement force_diplomacy invulnerable_general list_traits process_rc (this is to process the recruitment queue supossedly) list_ancillaries diplomatic_stance mp (to add movement points supossedly)
**Also for anyone that was wondering and ran into same problem as me where 1 of my RTW sets of CD was smashed, you can run the game on other computers that DONOT have the Game CD and are running version 1.2 1.3 and 1.4 in them using a NO_CD crack designed for VERSION 1.5!

TW Script Editor

Version: 0.6.1 (Jul 08 2015)
Requires: .Net Framework 4.0 or better
TW Script Editor is a program which can be used to both edit and validate scripts for Rome: Total War, Barbarian Invasions, Alexander: Total War, Medieval II Total War and Kingdoms. The program is a text editor that provides syntax highlighting for scripts as well as the ability to validate the currently loaded script.
As this is still very much not a full release only certain items are checked. All events & conditions are checked, the same as for ATVTW, this includes all monitor_event, monitor_condition, if and while blocks. Other things that are at least partially checked include spawn_army blocks (unit lines, faction line, character lines, traits line), add_event blocks, and valid names for all script and console commands. Exact syntax for other script commands and all console commands have not been completed yet.
Credits:
This program makes use of two items not of my creation. The first is the AvalonEdit text editor (the editor in the main window) and the second is the find/replace dialog. The first is released under the GNU LGPL and the second under the Code Project Open License (CPOL). Source and object code is available at the first pair of link, the licenses at the second pair of links.
